And uh when you look at positioning, when you look at flow data, um, it looks like there are some investors out there positioning uh for um uh that rate cutting cycle to be pushed into next year. matched

Uh and so you've seen some flows associated with that, as well as a little bit more MPS. matched

issuance there and a little bit of uh um hedging flow that's associated with that. matched

And then in the background, and this is more of a thematic driver, is uh of course the um big uh budget uh bill and that's obviously being negotiated. matched

And so that's obviously making those uh tax cuts permanent, um, no tax on tips over a certain amount and increasing the uh state um uh s uh tax deductions there. matched

Uh it's still unclear exactly how much that would add to the deficit there. matched

All those negotiations are still ongoing, but with all the uh trade deals that are in line, uh that tariff revenue is likely to be uh less than what uh the administration is probably hoping for. matched

And so that could add to the debt and deficit uh Yeah, quite a bit. matched

Yeah, it's yeah, and I g I guess it's just unclear exactly uh how how quickly that will be negotiated and uh to what extent those um respective aspects are going to be passed through the House and Senate in uh budget reconciliation. matched

But uh in terms of um movements in markets, what we are seeing though is um uh some of the data flow picking up uh as that US China uh tentative deal um uh looks more certain. matched

And so you've seen matched

containership bookings from China to the US are shooting up about fifty percent th this week. matched

And that's according to German carrier HAPEG Lloyd. matched

Yeah. matched

Uh and uh according to them at least, the US tariff rate on Chinese goods of about thirty percent uh uh is resulting in relatively strong demand um for uh Chinese exports to the US there. matched

So at least it looks like activity's picking up again, um just given that we've had matched
