So uh it does look like a lot of that defense spending potentially is going to be spent in Europe rather than being spent off
Yeah, it's more it's more about the access to upgrades.
Um and so while the kill switch may not be there, it's more about if if if the s software's not being upgraded through time, then the actual equipment loses its efficacy.
Uh but just in regards to that, um there's a really good podcast um recently by uh Trump's former co campaign manager and obviously this is very heavy in the political rhetoric, but um just worth noting
that uh i his view was um uh Trump's view of uh Europe um um needing to pay their own fair share of defence was a very well founded view uh and um Europeans are still coming to terms with with that.
Yeah, and then the other one was the whole trade, reciprocal trade is a very, very real theme.
Um the basically the headline was country's been imposing tariffs for far too long, balance has been tipped to the Europeans, balance has been tipped to the Canadians.
So uh a lot of change going on at the moment, obviously.

And I think the message out of the Fed is that they're going to be on hold until the totality of Trump's policies are becoming more clear.
And uh Powell back in early March uh noted that the new administration is in the process of implementing policy changes in four areas trade, immigration, fiscal policy and regulation.
We've only really heard about the trade side.
Um so with the economy generally resilient, uh they're not really in a in a hurry, and so they are pretty well positioned to wait for greater c greater clarity.
So I think from the drop plot that will emerge uh out of this meeting, maybe there could be a marginal increase in uh the um on the inflation dot, uh maybe a sm a decrease in the GDP dots, uh, but I think for policy itself, I think uh broadly uh little change from the last meeting.
And looking at market pricing at the moment, um there's about a cumulative sixty four point nine.
basis points of cuts price by the end of twenty twenty five.
Uh in the Fed dot plot from December, it was fifty basis points.
So market is not too far away from the Fed dot plot from from December anyway.
