Um so we think some of that's the pandemic effect, but also some of it is there's um
just taking longer to get deals done.
Um there's greater uncertainty, I think, due to increased regulations.
So that means diligence, like w I mentioned, is going up the amount that's actually being done.
Um there's an avoidance of certain states.
Um I know there's some
some that have with Oregon especially being as strict and robust as it was.
Um and Maine.
Given how long of a time frame there is for review, that there are there are definitely players that have said we're gonna sit those out.
We're gonna we have plenty to invest elsewhere.
We wanna focus our efforts elsewhere, kind of waiting and seeing.
That said, even in those states, I think
they're letting others kinda go through it or they're it they're not gonna sit out forever.
I think they just wanna kind of wait and see um what's gonna happen.
And again, it just deals are taking taking longer and I think there's more
There's a recognition across the board of an increased risk with these types of deals.
Um, we talked more about this at at uh the conference, but how how is AI how do you think you know, A is the hot AI is the hot topic right now?
What effect, if any, do you think AI is gonna have on corporate practice laws and anything any things to keep in mind or, you know, what are you what are you thinking and what are you seeing? 'Cause I know you you're doing a lot in this space.
I don't know that they're again that they're changing, but there is more risk, right?
