Those just kind of started to see what they're gonna do with that information.
Um, but that's something that that Indiana is kind of doing, which is a little different, although we're seeing more of that and I'll talk a little bit more about some other other states and other recent legislation that's kind of out there.

They are but but they have gotten
uh very limited in terms of scope.
So um there's been three different changes recently to um non competes in Indiana.
July first of twenty twenty, so during the pandemic, there were some restrictions on non competes um and kind of things that you had to
Um put in to an employment agreement with a physician, um, including kind of a a reasonable buyout um to allow physicians to continue to practice.
in the area if they were to um undertake or pay out this buyout.
And then in 2023 they went even further and included also things like medical record transfer.
They w they don't want the patient to get crapp caught kind of in the crosshair of these physician non-competes.
And I should say these are employment related non-competes, not sale of business non-competes.
Those have been upheld because there's a different kind of protected interest for those sale of practice non-competes.
Um in twenty twenty three they expanded the non competes even further.
Um and the types of physicians that could have a non compete were restricted even further um to include um really protecting internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, things like that, where you can't have a new noncompete.
And it's based on when you enter into a new agreement.
And then in twenty twenty five.
They don't allow for health systems.
Interestingly, not private equity focused, but no health healthcare systems or hospitals cannot have non-competes with physicians starting in 2025.
So that's just another tool in the tool belt as we've talked about these disclosure requirements, transparency, notice of healthcare transactions, non-competes, kind of regulating or increased regulation over this space to kind of um
