Specifically, we saw that Qatar confirmed some draft language for a US Iran deal is being circulated between the parties.
And we've also seen some news that maybe there's
There has been a little bit of a a shift uh from from Iran in terms of their stance on on clearing mines in particular, with some reporting uh citing citing, you know, unnamed diplomats that maybe their their position that uh you know they couldn't see any external uh involvement in demining the strait shifting a little bit and maybe some openness to uh to the Europeans uh being involved in that process.
So there has been, you know, some some hints of
Yeah, so I mean earnings have been kind of supportive to that kind of broader more broadly positive mood music as well.
You mentioned kind of, you know, that Palantir result there.
We also saw uh strong earnings from from Caterpillar.
Um, but you know, we also saw kind of, you know, even ahead of that that US session, we saw a pretty positive lead in from from Europe, the um Euro stocks uh six hundred up around point seven percent and and reaching uh um its first record close since the
the third of July as well.
So, you know, a broadly positive story um in equities and and earnings season, you know, certainly continuing that um that positive uh momentum in in the US.
Um and yeah, and on that I think it's worth noting after the close, uh we've got uh AMD and also SpaceX's first ever uh reporting coming up as well.
Yeah.
I mean you you met talked about it with um with Salah yesterday, our kind of our NAB spend trend, which is our our tracking of our kind of aggregated in internal data had signaled uh some some strength in in June.
And we saw that confirmed in in the numbers from from the ABS.
I think more broadly, when you look at the themes here, so you know it was much stronger than those those consensus expectations in line with our expectation with some of those gains, really led by discretionary uh spending.
Categories as well.
I think, you know, there's a couple of important things to note here.
One is that uh automobile and and vehicle purchases, they can be quite volatile month to month.
They were a bit of a support.
There's also been a dynamic where uh travel spending, which was very soft uh back in April, has been recovering and and we saw uh air travel spending back to around pre-conflict levels, but kind of that that recovery has certainly been a bit of a support.
