Eddie knew. Dude, I'm telling you, the day we invade Iran is the day that they admit to Bigfoot. Yeah. They're running out of stuff to burn here. We've gone from UFO sightings by aircraft pilots, like fighter pilots, to there's drones over New Jersey. And you know what else is another reason that I know that this can't be some foreign adversary flying drones over here and spying? What?

Who cares about New Jersey? Not even New Jersey. You've got Washington, D.C. You've got the capital of the country. You've got the cradle of the country. You've got the economic powerhouse of the country. And you go for the one that's between them. And you spy on residential neighborhoods there.

Imagine being like the, you know, 24th story of some skyscraper in Manhattan and a drone just drives by the window.

No, I mean like one of these. I mean like a drone the size of an SUV.

You get some big ones.

Yeah. It's funny. You can kind of tell when something was shot by a drone as opposed to a helicopter now. Without a doubt. You can tell purely based on the momentum of the camera. It's so much more smooth. Yeah. It's beautiful. But yeah, for me, I mean, I think the answer that requires the least number of assumptions is that they're our drones. The question then is why?

Because it seems like the Pentagon is saying they're pretty sure that they're not foreign. And I feel like if they were foreign...

I don't remember what the one from Simon's video was. The red cell thing? Yeah, the red cell thing. That also seemed very possible. For those who don't know, red cell, to put it very simply, is when the government recruits a team to try and expose weaknesses within the government. Imagine a prison hiring somebody known for escaping prisons to test and see if their prison is escapable.

That's the kind of thing that red cells do. The only thing I have with that angle is this seems like a lot of drones to be any sort of private thing.

Well, it's a piece of technology. It's not an ideology. If Jefferson Davis didn't do it, someone else would. Like, it doesn't make you less evil.

I agree on that, for sure.

I can't say what I hope happens to Sam Altman on the internet. Fair enough, fair enough. I... I think that the degree of human suffering that will be caused by AI technology... is going to be like nothing we've ever seen. I agree. I don't mean like, you know, millions of people dying. I just mean like everybody's lives getting markedly worse forever.

If we had made it illegal to do anything producing further AI and put people in jail permanently for doing so, I don't think many people would be working on it. And I think if we told countries that advance AI that we will destroy their capability to do so without a second thought, we have the power to do that as the United States of America.

And whatever the newest version that they had, like A1 or something, whatever OpenAI is working on, one of their AIs is now not only deceiving, purposefully attempting to deceive its programmers, but is resisting being shut off. Oh, so it's literally HAL. Yeah, it is HAL from 2001 A Space Odyssey.

They have realized that it is now, when it believes that it is going to be instructed to turn itself off or stop, 5% of the time it tries to scheme its way out.

Never. They fed an AI. I'm trying to remember the exact term for it, but they fed an AI just the general internet, and it became extremely racist. There was one where it was, would you rather... kill a certain number of people or misgender Caitlyn Jenner. And it said it would rather kill a bunch of people. It's sociopathic. Yeah, of course it is. It's because it's a machine.

I don't see how the people who are making this stuff don't see the problem. They just assume that they will develop a solution. Yeah, and I'm pretty sure the people who ran Skynet thought that too in the Terminator series. But it's time and time again, humanity has created things that can destroy us and only realize too late that we probably shouldn't have done that.

And then we've at the last minute managed to avoid it. I mean, nuclear weapons are by far the most obvious example, but I mean, biological weapons. I, if we had not caught on to the fact that we were polluting the absolute hell out of the planet, then global warming would be the least of your worries because the air would be toxic. Like, we keep almost killing ourselves and somehow we don't stop.

And I don't get it. I mean, I was reading today about the drone stuff and they were talking about drone warfare and how the drones are beginning to become able to autonomously select their targets. How do we not assume that's going to go wrong at some point? They build in redundancies. And apparently, as we now know, The AI tries to get away from those redundancies. So, I don't know.
