Don't expect them to know.

I've been listening to women for 40 years tell me men don't know how to be relational.

Guess what?

I believe you.

So how are they going to know how to be relational if you don't tell them?

Not that you're the objective teacher.

That's a trap.

But subjectively, with humility, this is Sally instructions.

This is what I want from you to make me happy.

But roll up your sleeves and show them what you want and then reward them when they try and give it to you.

People don't do any of that in this culture.

You know, the concrete example is...

John Gray, God bless him, made millions of dollars on this.

Men problem solve listening and women want empathic listening.

There's nothing wrong with either.

What's wrong is it doesn't get negotiated up front.

So I teach women to say, listen, I'm going to talk to you about a fight I had with a girlfriend.
