ended up happening was something far more important instead, which was that I encountered a problem which was too big to ignore and I couldn't see anyone else trying to solve it.

And that's what kind of sucked me into the entrepreneurial journey.

And that problem took place just over a decade ago.

I was moving back to the UK and on moving day, the removal men told me I had to throw away all of our uneaten food.

And the inner farmer's daughter in me was, no way.

I'm not prepared to put perfectly good food in the bin when I know there is someone probably within 100 meters of me who would like it.

So instead, much to their frustration, I packed up my newborn baby and my toddler, and I set out in the depths of winter

clutching this food, hoping to find someone to give it to.

And the lady who was always normally in this one spot outside our local supermarket for some reason wasn't there that day.

And I cried, if the truth be known.

I shed a few tears of frustration.

I've gone to all this effort on a very stressful day.

Anyone who's got kids knows that just getting a toddler and a newborn out of the house takes about 45 minutes.

And on a moving

day.

That's one of the most stressful things you can do in your life.

Yeah.

So I was just like, no, this is not good news.

I thought about knocking on my neighbor's doors, but I just thought, one, I haven't got time for that.

And two, it would just be mortifyingly embarrassing.
