Then COVID came along and it goes from, you know,
580 or whatever it was to basically a trillion bucks.
And then, you know, now it sort of has stabilised now, but it's still going up a little bit.
Yeah, all these forecasts, yeah, they kick the can down the road.
Okay, but then they're trying to say, well, it's still going to go up for another three or four years and then our models say it's going to start coming down.
Well, that never happens.
They're right about the first bit.
Oh, it's going to go up for a little bit more.
I'll tell you another thing, talking about the economy, that's really annoyed me, and it's really dawned on me just this week what's happened.
We've been told for about 20, 30 years now that the unemployment rate in this country is 3% or 4%.
And everyone says, oh, well, the debt might be high, the inflation's going up, growth might be stagnant.
But look, it doesn't really matter because pretty much everyone that wants a job has got a job.
How many government jobs are they at?
Yeah, well, there's a ton of government jobs, and there's people on the NDIS aren't included on unemployment.
But this is the thing I worked out this week.
Who measures that the unemployment's 3% or 4%?
The government doesn't.
The Department of Australian Bureau of Statistics, the ABS.
So the government's reporting on the government, oh, it's only 3% or 4% unemployment.
People walk around, oh, it's not too much of a crisis.
