What if the US president had the very next day sent Colin Powell, who was the US Secretary of State, basically the American Minister for Foreign Affairs, they sent Colin Powell over to Kabul, right?
He gets off the plane at Kabul and he meets with the Taliban leadership.
Now, I know it was a Taliban government.
I know they're pretty crazy, but they would have been thinking, fuck man, America's going to be pretty angry at us right now.
And they're a pretty powerful country.
And yeah, we've got these outlaws that we've been giving safe harbour to somewhere up in the hills there.
But if Colin Powell and the Americans had sat down with the Taliban, I think the Taliban would have wanted to meet with them because they would have thought, well, we don't want to get invaded, which could happen, which did happen.
But what if Colin Powell said to them, look, we're either going to invade you, gentlemen, or we've got an alternative plan.
