and is owed $11 million for next year.

But when you talk about the biggest names on this roster that you could conceive of moving, and that's Francisco Lindor and Beau Bichette, it's so complex to move Bichette because of the player options after this season and after next season.

So if you're an acquiring team, you don't know if you're getting this guy for two months or two-plus years at $84 million for those next two years.

And Lindor is owed $160 million over the next five years.

Obviously, it would be a sell low from an on-field perspective for the Mets because he's had such a difficult season.

He's missed a lot of time.

But they still believe that he's their best option at shortstop, certainly right now and probably for the next several years because they don't have someone pushing him in the system.

There's not some obvious guy available in free agency for them to go after if they do trade Lindor.

So I think if that's something they're going to think about, it's something they're going to think about much more in the offseason than is really realistic to pull off now.

Yeah, I think that, you know, there are a lot of moves that David Stearns made in the offseason that fans disliked right away.

And then there's a few that I didn't like too much when that happened.

The Peralta one is not one of them in either scenario.
