I think the only real motivation for him to opt out would be to join a really subpar for Asian class.

So I don't know that we'll see, you know, from from the Mets perspective, I think they're looking at this as much more of an off-season for trades than for free.

Free agent signings.

Uh that's part of the reason they bulked up their prospects, their their farm system at the trade deadline was with an idea of these are some guys that we can use in the winter to get more of the win now talent that we want.

Uh I don't know if Toronto's in exactly that same position, uh, but I think that's, you know, there there's not the easy answer out there the way there there has been some other off seasons where it's like, oh, we we have a hole at uh at first base, we can go out and sign this guy.

Uh or we're

where we wanna get wanna upgrade this position, there there's the obvious candidate there that we just need to spend money on.

There's not a lot of that in this free agent class.

Well it's certainly something I've thought of, you know, you look at the Mets, they've got some contracts that are a little bloated, guys that that if they if they could get rid of them, they would.

Uh and you think maybe if there's a team that that wants to raise its salary, get up to a salary floor, then maybe, you know, this the two years and forty eight million dollars left on Marcus Semion's deal is attractive to a team that wants to bring in a veteran uh leader in a clubhouse to play second base for them, uh and and need, you know, can afford that to get up to to

A salary floor.

Again, there'd probably be a phase in program for that, phase in period of time.

So I don't know that every team's gonna go out there and uh spend a ton of money like we saw in the NBA, however long ago, when when the salary kept really all these guys get getting huge deals.

So uh you know, I I think that that uncertainty it makes it harder, but it also makes it more interesting for us.

Uh, like you know, I'm trying to think through my early free agent projections, and it's it's like, do I do I go with what

I normally would.

Do I try to account for what uh might happen in the offseason?

Uh, do we do both and and see where they differ and and and and how it plays out in the end?

Uh there's a lot to decide on that.
