I like I said, I'm new to Santa Clara
city and managing students, but I'm not new to property management or tenant relations.
And I think it's really important for us to kind of bridge that gap in between all parties, including the owner as well.
I have not had direct works with the NURC, but I do I am on the events committee for the HIF, which is the housing industry foundation where we host events and we raise funds.

Um so I do want to be more involved in the community and, you know, better the world um in this career that I've chosen.
Yes, so it's mainly the where the student housing overlaps with the residents.
So it's the noise, it's the parking, it's the maintenance, it's you know, cleaning up the backyards, um, them hosting parties, disrupting the other residents, me being called out, um, you know, having to be involved and build relationships with the officer, the Santa Clara University Housing Committee.
Um I just kinda want to encourage open communication.
Between the owners, universities, and residents.
And I think we need to find that balance where we can make sure that they understand the landlord reality aspect of it, and then also where we protect the residents' quality of living because you know the landlords we're not the bad guys, even though we're always looked at that way.
But I also want to make sure that we don't look at our residents, the students, as the bad guys as well.

Um we all have one common goal, which is to thrive and, you know, feel at home with where we live.
So I just kinda wanna be the person to, you know, bridge that gap and connect everyone.
Um and then yeah, just to have my goal is to have practical solutions to just improve the trust and livability of their neighborhood.
Yeah, um so in closing, I just I'm truly passionate um about strengthening the relationship between property owners, residents, and the university community.
Um like I said, I have the four properties that I manage.
I am living it day to day with all the issues, the good and the bad.
