We're seeing that happen all over the world.

I don't think any of us should be surprised that it's happening in cricket, nor should we be surprised that it's happening in our own backyard.

Well, put it this way, Gerard, if those salary caps are significantly higher than ours over the coming years and players can earn more in those areas, then players will follow those.

And that's a real risk to us.

I want to make sure, ambition's a good thing, Rob, by the way.

So I want to make sure that for Australian cricket, our ambition is to have a league that runs at the key part of the year for us, which is the December, January window.

And it's the best T20 league in the world at that moment in time.

To do that, we have to have a significant amount of money in our salary caps to attract not only the best players from overseas, but to retain and attract our own best players.

Without those levels of investment, we will not retain those players in the future.

Well, it's not an alternative that the Cricket Australia board would put their attention to.

You know, people have said to us over time, there's more money to be made in wagering for cricket.

And that's a statement of fact.

But it's purposeful and it's deliberate in the strategy that we take less and we leave money on the table in order to have some principles.

And we have a social license to operate our sport in this country.

And we've made clear, distinct decisions on where and where we do not look at wagering.

And the BBL is a good example of that.

I don't think you'll see the policy of that change from the Crick Australia board.

I don't think it's like that.

I think, look, I think there's some posturing at this time of year, but that's probably not uncommon when contracts are offered.

We've still got several months until that sort of unfolds the new contract year.
