That's how we're programmed for survival.
It's hard to kind of rewire those instincts.
I mean, every chapter ends with a chapter takeout, a coaching task.
And I hope, I love that you've picked that up.
And I never want to be someone who's suggesting that we have to take on ocean roads and climb mountains.
And, you know, in many ways, not even consciously, I've sort of just fallen into this bizarre lifestyle.
But that's how I've navigated all of that.
But for someone else, it will be completely different.
um but it might be somebody picking it up thinking they could never do a half marathon yes and that you know i think it does whatever the challenge is it doesn't have to be i'm not going to row the ocean you know but i could still pick your book up but the radical part of it is just about committing to being you to being yourself and to living that life consciously and determinedly and um yeah i think sort of
disengaging yourself at times as much as possible from what other people might expect from you, shedding those layers.
And none of us exist in a vacuum.
And, you know, that was what I learned through that period of sort of self-reliance, I suppose, where I did the Arctic and the Kenya run.
And then I realized that, you know, that's terribly empowering, but it doesn't preclude having healthy relationships with other people.
Like that's what we're here for.
