They did away with all the gas stoves and put in electric stoves.

Then it comes to the heating systems where they're using heat pumps.

They had to convert millions.

One of my co-op boards put in close to $10 million to upgrade.

But here's the catch.

You're never going to be green enough because in 2030, they're coming back again.

And the co-op boards can't afford it.

Again, middle class people, older people.

Now, co-op and condos in my district and districts like mine, they were the most affordable, purest form of affordable housing.

Some 30 years ago, 40 years ago, you were buying them for $20,000, $18,000, $30,000.

Now, co-ops and condos are up to $250,000 and $300,000.

When you look at the housing market where I live, you think, well, that is a great price.

But tack on what they call their maintenance, okay, and their fees every month.

And now their fees have jumped from $900 to $1,200 to $1,800.

And if some people just bought and they have a mortgage, that mortgage is separate from your maintenance.

And so now you're paying what you thought you were going to be able to afford.

You can no longer afford.

The elderly are getting pushed out.

That's sabotage.

Sabotage.
