And this is where I think human design can become much more useful, not when we use it to label ourselves.
But when we use it to become better observers of our own patterns.
So rather than treating this as a prescription, treat it as an experiment.
Try meditating on your own and notice how you feel afterward.
Try a smaller group, a larger group, a mixed group, or a particularly calm and structured meditation environment, and compare your experiences over time.
You don't have to decide after one second.
that something is right or wrong for you.
Give yourself the opportunity to notice patterns.
Pay attention not only to what happens during the meditation, but also to how you feel an hour later, at the end of the day, or even the following morning.
Sometimes the most useful information isn't in the moment itself, but in the way your body and emotions respond once you are back in your own environment.
And if you discover that group meditation consistently leaves you feeling grounded
and supported, that's valuable information.
If you discover that you feel much better when you meditate alone, that's valuable information too.
There is no prize for choosing the meditation style that someone else prefers.
The goal is simply to understand what supports your sense of calm, presence, and connection, and to give yourself permission to choose the environment that helps you feel most like yourself.
