So it's a great proxy for understanding what happens if you don't play in this real-time payment space, right?
So I think definitely get in there as soon as you can.
Advice number two,
focus on finding the right partner to guide you in your journey, right?
Don't just go with the one that screams the loudest or wears the shiniest clothes, right?
Because there are a few of those out there.
Do your homework.
And ideally, you want to engage someone that has been through the growing pains over several years, especially in mature international markets, and can better help educate you and guide you towards a solution that fits with your priorities and sets you up for success, right?
Kind of helps you think through it versus just kind of, you know, does a plain vanilla, whatever, out of the box kind of thing.
And lastly, to that extent, don't think of real-time payments as a point-in-time solution just to check the box.
Look at it as an investment opportunity that can add value to your organization.
And a lot of institutions today are doing this.
They're implementing instant payment rails just with a receive option, just to check the box.
That doesn't really get you much.
I think a better option might be draw up a longer-term plan and make this one step in that direction.
For example, this could be a great way for you to start building out a payment hub solution.
Start with instant payments and then gradually add more payment types over time.
Wires, for example, that's moving to ISO 2022 as well.
Or this could also be a great modernization opportunity.
