And that is helpful as a kind of interim measure is to take an old statement.

Have it projected forward for you to roughly the age that you want to retire.

And that gives you a general feeling for, right, what potentially could this look like?

And then as soon as you get the what we call the post McLeod statement in, that gives you a little bit more information and insight around because the post McLeod statement shows you your two options.

right, I'm going to put my seven years in the old scheme, the 1995 or the 2008 scheme, or no, I'm going to put my seven years in the 2015 scheme.

And it shows you those two sets of numbers.

So that can be very helpful.

It starts to be more helpful than not knowing what either of them are.

There's loads of problems.

What we have to bear in mind that currently it's a bit of a crisis, isn't it, because of McLeod.

And so once that's passed and once everybody has their post-McLeod numbers and everybody knows roughly what their choice is going to be,

then all of the admin centres will be easier to deal with and you'll be able to speak to them again, similar to the way that we could communicate with them beforehand.

So at the moment, it's a temporary situation.

So I would say that for any GPs who are listening and who may be younger and 10 years plus off retirement, to not panic, wait for the post-McLeod statement and then go and look at, right, OK, what does this mean for me?

For those of you who are 10 years or younger,

closer to retirement or have already taken your benefits and are still waiting for McLeod, then it is going to be painful over the next few years and there's no quick fix because the capacity on all the servicing just isn't there.

In our experience, it does mean that an awful lot of our clients are having to complain

before they actually get the numbers that they need in order to retire.

And some people are actually making the decision to retire and not getting the McLeod choice.

That's happening at the moment.
