Yeah, the very first time and then uh the most recent time.

It's called the primacy and the recency effect.

certainly the primacy effect is also playing a role in another emotion that we haven't talked about, which is awe.

So awe comes uh with with an extraordinary we just have the uh space launch, the Artemis la I mean that is awe.

All those people going out to Cape Carnaveral, they wanted to see

fellow humans going, you know, this place that they will never go probably.

Um and and to be there for for that, you know, it it is an awe inspiring event.

And we don't get that very often in our lives.

And and part of that is is the first.

Um um and and you know I'm sure if they go to five i these rocket launches

don't happen all all that often anyway, but but um um part of that awe is is that first the first meteor shower or the I remember the first time I saw

I remember.

The Northern Lights.

Same.

Yeah.

In in Lapland.

I was uh at a meeting, science meeting in Lapland.

So extraordinary.

I mean, it was just uh like nothing I've ever seen.

So the primacy is easier easier to understand and and maybe the same for recency, but um our brain is focused on what is new because it's a safety response.
