I was doing something with Danny Simpson and he kind of brought up, do you remember him saying, you know, if we get the results we want over that period, we're going to get the week off.
And I was like, I can't.
I can't remember.
Everything seemed a bit of a blur, especially through that period.
Because I know there was those big games.
I was like, right, we need to perform.
We need to come away with some good points out of these games.
Massive games.
And listen, the boys always love a week off incentive.
So that always goes down very well.
Obviously, great result against Liverpool, fantastic performance and that definitely put us on a high.
I went to the Man City game and I think a lot of people put that as a period of three games, like this is going to decide their season.
The way we performed, the way we kind of went to Man City's backyard and come away with the points, but obviously the three goals, being 3-0 up and being ahead.
really hit us and I thought, wow, for me personally, I thought we could do something special here, you know, and produce the impossible.
And that's the first time I felt like that throughout the kind of course of season.
And ironically, we went to Arsenal and we lost, you know, so it kind of brought everything back down to earth a little bit.
But yeah,
I think we definitely learn a lot from that kind of period, especially that Arsenal game, because remember how Arsenal kind of celebrated in the dressing room and the pictures that came out on social media.
So obviously, you know, it was a big game.
And to be fair, we had, what, 10 men because Danny Simpson got sent off.
