Yeah, so I think we joined Clare House when our little boy Lewis was about two.

We were made up when we had our first child, but at 20 weeks we were told it was going to be a bit of an issue.

And then when he was born, we were told that we probably weren't going to be taking him home.

So it was a big stressful time for us.

But he had other ideas, came out singing, you'll never walk alone straight away.

And we got six great years with him.

And we spent four of those years with Claire House.

with respite and it was a at the beginning it was a big challenge making decision to trust Claire House with the care of our boy because he was so complex and we lived let's say so far away but it took over two and a half hours to get to the whittle site so we were dead nervous with the first meeting but we stayed upstairs in a little flat that they put on for us so we got he was downstairs having tons of fun and

as the day went on and as the sessions went on we were we could realize that we were proper in the way uh because he was having too much fun and if he was verbally be telling us come on dad um let us let us just continue with this so um so from an early age he was with clear house and then

We've been using Clare House since he passed away when he was six.

So it's been ten years nearly come July.

And our daughter, who only got to know our son for about nine months, she now uses Clare House as a sibling with all sorts of fun events as well as like therapy stuff as well, which he kind of needed

a year or two ago, because she just had more questions about, I've got this brother who I've never met.

But she did when she was a baby, so she can't remember.

So yeah, it's all cool stuff like that.

It's not just all the sad stuff.

It's all amazing what he did.

It's great because with the aftercare stuff, us dads, you know what it's like, we're not great at talking stuff unless it's about foot.

You try to support other people as well.

So I've tried loads of times when after me some pass like to bring up stories and stuff and just like get that little bit of help that I needed and start off well in your group when you're having a drink then it's just like quickly gets changed to a football story when the conversation gets a little bit too hard and you can't blame your friends for that but it's just that's just the way we've been
