If I think it's wrong to cut the very Medicaid program that funds most of rural health care.

I don't want any other 12-year-old kid to have to lay on the ground for an hour and 50 minutes waiting for help to show up, wondering if they're going to live or die.

So when you see these fancy politicians in their $1,000 suits stand before the cameras and make an argument that this is all about politics, that the Democrats are shutting down the government, I want you to remember this video.

And I want you to remember that 12-year-old kid that laid over there on the ground for an hour and 50 minutes waiting for an ambulance to show up.

This is why we're shutting down the government, because they cut $137 billion from rural health care.

And they gave us a bribe in the form of $50 billion to cause us to be quiet, to fund the $137 billion that they cut.

And they want us to compete for that $50 billion like it's the Hunger Games, like a little kid's life, laying out there on the ground bleeding out.

Isn't worth the money that we put into Medicaid to make sure that our kids and our elderly folks with chronic conditions and all of our young people and families that are involved in accidents in rural America, because we have to travel further and faster to get to the places that we need to be like, none of them are worth it.

That's what I want you to remember.

These funding cuts have real consequences in this country.

And any little kid that has to go through what I went through when I was 12 years old would be one of those consequences.

And by God, that's not right.

And surely Democrat, Republican or independent, we can all agree on that.

So that's all I'm asking you to do is put your political labels aside and just agree that if you live in rural America or hell anywhere in this country, we deserve good healthcare.

We deserve treatment that arrives quickly and provides us with world-class care

and gets us to a hospital when we need it.

I'm sorry, I cry at grocery store openings now, guys.

But this is one of the most difficult things that ever happened to me.

And what we're doing in this country is wrong.

And the consequences are real.
