And I always tell people, we called that meeting and from the time I left Atlanta to the time I got home in North Carolina, America became one united nation because we were under attack.

We saw a change in this country.

I'll never forget driving down the road and

These little kids had pulled out all the red, white, and blue paper from the magazines they had in their station wagon, and they'd made a little American flag that they'd hung on the window.

And that's when I knew everything was going to be okay.

No matter what they'd thrown at us, we were going to come together as a country.

That's the kind of moment we need right now in rural America.

We need to put these political ideologies aside and understand that rural America, particularly farmers and ranchers, are under attack.

And the only way you can repel this, the only way you can get things back to normal and eventually make things even better than they were before, is if we attack this together, not as Democrats and Republicans and independents, but as rural people, as farmers and ranchers from all backgrounds, all colors,

Men, women, young people, old farmers, all combined together to push back and say this is wrong.

It's wrong for us to raise crops that sell at a price less than what we paid to raise them.

It's wrong for a little kid to lay on the ground for two hours waiting for an ambulance to show up.

It's wrong for any child to go to a school that's underfunded just because it's in rural America.

These are things that have to be fixed.

The consequences are real and they're human and we can't fix them unless we come together to do it.

So John is absolutely right.

I can't wait to meet him in person someday.

Yeah, I don't have full use.

So as you can see, I can't really raise my wrist.
