But now they're learning the hard way.

And there are two ways we can respond to that.

We can respond to that by you're getting what you deserve.

You're getting what you voted for or we can view it as an opportunity.

And what I'm trying to do is view it as an opportunity to meet people where they are.

Now, my good friend, John Bowman, the president of the St.

Louis County NAACP told me once, Will, you need to add a little bit to your speech.

And that is you don't meet racists and Nazis halfway.

What I'm talking about is meeting people in rural America,

who are not hardcore MAGA that are exhibiting the worst behaviors in mankind.

I'm talking about the people in rural America that are waking up to the fact that they voted the wrong way and they now want to join us.

And they contact me and they talk to me every day, May.

I promise you that they're reaching out.

They're getting it.

Not as many as we want, not as fast as we want, but they are getting it.

And the last thing I'll say, yeah, no, just the last thing I want to say, and I always want to remind my brothers and sisters on the left and, you know, this, and that is don't forget that 40% of us out here in rural America have been fighting this fight with you for a long, long time.

You know, for 35 years, I've been out here fighting for marriage equality and economic justice and equal rights and all the other things that are so important to all of us.

And I've learned that,

if we have a crash food supply, if we lose all of our farms and ranches, et cetera, it won't just be that MAGA voter that gets hurt.

It's going to be all of us that have been fighting that fight with you that get hurt.
