And from there, I started to enjoy it, to be honest.
I think it's a skill that helps me get into teams as well.
It's very important.
Obviously, you're a good batter, but once you have another skill as well, it really helps you in that case.
and from there from primary school I went to secondary school being a wicketkeeper playing zonal cricket and obviously going up the youth ranks in regional cricket I wicketkeeper as well so yeah just really enjoy it obviously it's tough on your body but at the end of the day obviously we're doing this for a living and you're just enjoying it you know so yeah I actually look up to Kumar Sangakkara as well amazing he's an absolute gun yeah so I think watching him
owner skills as well, it was amazing to see.
So it's something that I wanted to take as well into my game and that's how it came about.
Looking back on it now, I started my professional career when I was 19.
And to think about it now, nine years later, it's almost crazy to know the amount of movements I've made.
Like, you're beating that to me there.
It's like, that's so much.
But having said that, I think...
It's just a journey, man.
I'm reaching to West Indies level now, but it's that journey that makes this so much special.
Because starting off playing for Trinidad and then moving on playing for CCC, obviously I met up with our assistant coach here, Floyd Reefer, who really transformed my game.
I think being a part of all those setups, CCC with Floyd, then you have Leeward Islands with Stuart Williams, who was our head coach.
Just sharing the knowledge that they had from their past experiences to me, I think it really gained me, to be honest, in my entire game, and it really helped me take my game forward.
I think it was just a blessing in disguise, just moving from all those different teams.
I had an amazing experience with Leeward Islands.
I always said it in past interviews, it's where I literally learned how to work hard.
