It was, let's make him comfortable for these last couple days or whatever, last couple hours.

the next steps weren't really known to anyone yet.

Was it worth doing like a surgery that I know now costs close to a million dollars?

And it was the weekend, the top surgeons weren't even on staff.

So there was a nurse though that

was with me for most of the time I was in the ICU.

At least she's the one I remember the most.

And she went above and beyond, not just with me.

I guess more importantly, she went out of her way to help my family through it.

And I never really appreciated it, but just because

I didn't remember it or it was more like helpful to like my family.

And I finally reconnected with her actually a few weeks ago because just in preparation of kind of like coming here, I wanted to like fill in some gaps, but more importantly, just say thank you because nurses, like I've had a lot of bad ones, but there's a few very, very good ones.

And, um,

being able to act in a way that you're not only doing your job, but you're making people comfortable in a time where that's almost impossible.

Just offering reassurance.

She works with those types of patients every day.

So she had seen it all.

And while the outlook might not have been good, there was at least a little bit of hope, which

was something for everyone to hold on to.

But as we went through the weekend, I think I had a stroke.
