And just seeing how like the word of everything, like traverse through cyberspace, all my college friends who obviously like they were scattered all over the country for the summer and,

people I would have never expected were, you know, expressing concerns, saying prayers, you know, like they were in my fraternity, but you know, not like people I hung out with every day or even regularly at all.

And seeing that, you know, weeks later was so beneficial just knowing that

I really couldn't let go because that would be worse than taking myself out of the equation, unlike what I had previously thought.

And that became my main driving force was like, if I'm not going to like,

at least try to survive for myself.

I have to do it for them.

I can't just be a bad memory for all these people.

They tried to hide it, but there was just no possible way you could.

I could just see the despair.

It was demoralizing, but motivating at the same time.

And still not being able to

react like physically in any sort of way my voice it was starting to go because i had strep throat as a result of just like all the bacteria that was in my lungs which was very uncomfortable actually probably the most uncomfortable part of those first few weeks i was on plenty of painkillers to numb the pain in my neck and like the stiffness in my body muscle relaxers antidepressants

anti-anxiety meds.

I was loaded up in that sense.

But for a strep throat, usually I would drink tea, have NyQuil, but sleeping wasn't really something that was possible.

I would fall asleep for maybe an hour at a time.

But there was doctors coming in to do tests, the noises of machines beeping and blaring all around me.

But it was also my only form of escape.

And that's why the surgery took longer than expected.
