And you talk about five or six superficial BS things in the locker room.
Tell me something you typically wouldn't tell a teammate about yourself.
Something you like, something you don't like, something you might be going through.
And the rawness and the vulnerability they showed and the way like, I'll go into NHL rooms and I have grown men standing up, hugging each other, crying, like as a group, sharing.
And I watched these teenage bro dudes who, you know, potentially in some instances, eye roll me or whatever.
90 of the time they buy into some extent but these guys went even further and then when guys would share something 10 guys would be like no man like we got your back no man or somebody was struggling with confidence in their game they're like you're an incredible player no you're going through this at home we got you and and i knew right away i was like oh this is different it's just special it's unique and i get it i get like 250 teams i get maybe five to ten of those
And I knew right away.
And the way they engaged post.
Like half that team would send me journal entries.
Like they were texting me almost daily.
They went to the president of the team, Joe Birch, and said, bring him back.
Like, it was wild, and it was cool, and to see them go that far and to do it and support each other through it all was pretty powerful.
I'll tell you this.
I've seen bad teams adopt it and play better.
You know what I mean?
Like talent obviously plays an impact in it, but you could have the most talented team in the world and have a terrible culture and you're not going to win.
No.
You know, if you have a good culture where people feel comfortable in that room, you have a better chance of winning.
