start to life, I think, in terms of, which I think a lot of people do, particularly these days, but I went from, you know, deferring my university degree and changing what I wanted to do, starting another degree in media at RMIT when I was 21, and then getting my first real job when I was 27.

So a lot of volunteering, a lot of submitting lots of different pieces, you know, internships, working at the service station, working at other places, working as a receptionist at a medical centre, all that kind of stuff.

And then my first job doing actually what I loved came a little bit later in the game.

But I got lots of time to cook and I got a lot of people saying, yes, give it a go, which was hugely helpful for me to arrive at Triple J when I did and go, yeah, I'm ready to go.

It was amazing because it was, you know, it spoke directly to what I wanted to do, why I got into radio in the first place, which is like, oh, I really love this and I want to share it with as many people as possible.

So going from a little community station to a much bigger one in Melbourne and then going to like a national audience was just phenomenal.

And then being able to...

influence what was playlisted that week, you know, talk to the music directors about what I was passionate about, hear the weird stuff that I love be played on, you know, on the radio to two million people.

It was wild.

But it was...

Yeah, it was I guess a kind of transformative experience too because I'd been living in Melbourne for quite a while.

I'd obviously lived in Los Angeles for a bit, but I was like I had itchy feet again.

And I was working at Triple J for about a year with Myth.

That's where we first met.

And...

I thought, you know what, I really want to change.

I either want to move overseas or interstate.

So it's either New York or Sydney.

I've got this job at Triple J. I'm going to see where that goes.
