And I think that that's what gave us both the clarity to go, cool, that's done.
And what are the things that didn't work there?
I think there's a really big difference to working on yourself for yourself instead of working on yourself because you want to make something else work.

And we were doing the former and I think that that ironically helped us.
I think for me being softer, being more understanding that we're very different people and that it's not my way or the highway, being more thoughtful.
Sometimes I can be a bit of a bruiser.
You know, for him definitely the sensitivity part was a big part of it because I am super direct and I found it hard when me being direct was taken really personally.
But he's changed the way that he took on things and didn't take things so personally as well.
Yeah, we both really kind of grew and realised the ways that we saw the world weren't the only ways and to be, I guess, a little kinder to each other and a bit more understanding about the way that, you know, it's all the love language stuff.
