So just kind of like liberating, actually.
It's amazing.
So I first started doing typewriter poetry in 2018.
I inherited my great-grandfather's typewriter, and I initially was just writing poems for friends and family.
And...
it's kind of organically expanded out from there into this like machine of a thing that I kind of accidentally made up.
And I, by no means, I'm like the originator of typewriter poetry.
Like people have done it for decades all over the world.
But I have, you know, like grown this very successful business doing it.
And it's kind of amazing.
Like I...
I have a life that is nothing like I possibly could have dreamed of when I was a kid.
It's like so much richer and bigger and fuller than anything I ever really, I think, could have like ideated for myself in part because like it's completely made up.
And it's so liberating and empowering, I think, to have had the experience of being like,
I really have over the years just kind of like bet on myself like over and over and over.
It's required a lot of self-trust and like a lot of kind of like leap in the net will appear moments, but the net has always appeared.
And it's never come, you know, it's like I have not had a salary since 2020.
I don't, you know, I don't have a trust fund.
I don't have any like patrons that are kind of just like single-handedly like making sure I've got enough.
It's like I really cobble together a whole life based almost exclusively on the generosity of strangers.
