I completely take your point about, you know, nobody voted in Andy Byrne and we kind of need to know what our next prime minister stands for.
But I think equally going out and connecting with voters and taking that time to really hammer together a good, strong story about what this country needs.
is important because that was what Keir Starmer was missing.
He didn't have any direction for the country and he had all this time to prepare.
So he will have to give us something.
I think the question is on timing.
Will we expect something over the summer?
I'm not so sure.
There's an interesting thing about the manifesto pledges, which I think is worth pointing out.
And it probably goes back to kind of Keir Starmer's original sin, which was being way too cautious.
So, you know, Keir Starmer had this really, oh, the Labour Party in 2024 had this really kind of straight down the middle manifesto.
There was nothing particularly radical in it.
And a lot of people thought, OK, maybe when they get into government, though, they will be a bit more radical.
Like they have to say they're not going to raise taxes, but really they have to.
And Keir Starmer came into government and him and Richard Reeves were laying the ground saying, oh, it's really bad.
There's this huge, you know, multi-billion pound black hole.
But we're just going to go on as we were before.
Nothing's changed, really.
I mean, it's really, really bad.
But we're just going to continue with the plan as is.
