And it'll be interesting to see with Fine Gael how Fine Gael people voted on this bill because they said, senior members, that the three-day wait was going to form part of the legislation and they were nagging on that if they support this bill.
And I think, you know, let's just think about the women who are listening to this programme who have their children because they had that
72-hour period, and the idea of removing it is completely excessive and really should not be.
I really hope that people contact their TDs and ask them to vote no to that legislation.
Back in a moment.
I don't think it was one on that.
I think it was one on people listening to women and listening to the real experience of women and realising that women deserve to be able to make decisions for themselves.

And the country decided she should have the right not to continue an unwanted pregnancy.
The three-day wait, like we had the Citizens' Assembly who went through all this at length and they didn't recommend a three-day wait.
They went through and listened to experts on all sides and listened to women and looked at the medical evidence and did not suggest a three-day wait.

It is medical care.
And there is no medical reason for a three-day wait.
Anti-abortion people...
don't want women to have abortions.
So anything they are willing to do, they wanted to stop women have abortions.
They wanted to keep women pregnant when they don't want to be.
