To open the show, Adam welcomes Phillip Nelson to the couch, who is helping ACE Broadcasting out with a couple of snazzy Tricasters. Adam also talks about his early days in the biz, working on the Ace on the House public access show. He also goes on a rant about huge hotel pillows, and the heavy metal doors that slam shut and wake you up when you're trying to nap. Adam then brings Dana Gould onto the show, who recalls in his last interview that Adam ranted about Sigmund and the Sea Monsters while Dana was writing the feature film version. The guys also talk about pitching projects around Hollywood, and exchange audition horror stories. The top news story today is the 6.3 earthquake in New Zealand. They also hear more details about Lara Logan's ordeal, and discuss the problem of anti-Semitism in the middle east. In other dramatic news, Justin Bieber recently got a haircut and Dr. Pepper is releasing a new soda. Alison also reads off some fun facts about our past presidents in honor of the holiday. After a quick break, the group returns with Dana Gould as he impersonates PBS staple Huell Howser. The guys pick apart Huell's visit to the dry cleaners and a pita factory, and also watch the original clip that got Adam hooked on the show in the first place. Afterward, Adam retells the story of Dave Dameshek's ode to Teemu Selanne.
