14 Dec 2010

Description

Adam welcomes Jessica Golden back for the week to help with the news. But before they get going, Adam notices that Jessica seems a bit down. He digs deep and finds out about her family and some of the emotional turmoil she's been going through. Jumping into the news, the top story today is the death of Senator Richard Holbrooke. She also reads a very disturbing story about a professor who was Sexting with his daughter. There's some gossip news revolving around divas like Chloe Kardashian and Kate Gosselin. Finally, she lists off the Most Depressing Jobs. Larry Miller comes in for The Hypothetical Road Trip Game. Prior to the game, there's a little conversation about Germans trying to perfect the art of the sitcom, and in the midst of the game they discuss the legacy of the Native Americans. As Larry heads out, Adam plays another section from his audiobook, which is now beating former President Bush's audiobook. The guys from Schmoes Know are back for an early Oscar preview. First up is a discussion of True Grit, and some of the other Coen Brothers films. Adam also talks about trying to train Mark Wahlberg for The Fighter, and talks about his own boxing movie. They also chat about some Oscar front-runners like Black Swan and The Social Network. Wrapping up, Adam rants about the difficulties of to cast his ex-wife in a failed sitcom pilot.
