Adam Carolla Show

ACS: Stacy Keach

14 Mar 2011

Description

Adam has a chat with an acting great: Stacy Keach. Stacy talks about splitting his time between LA and Poland, since his wife of 25 years lives there. But Stacy grew up in the Valley so he and Adam relate to having a Bob's Big Boy close by, and cruising the streets at night. Stacy also talks about his father, who worked in the radio biz, and talks about transitioning from playing football to being an actor. Adam also talks with Stacy about traveling to London and performing theater there as well. Adam asks him about how often he travels to Poland, and also gets a rec for a great local Polish restaurant. Adam then mentions the celebrity gossip he heard back in the day that Stacy was caught with cocaine and sent to prison. Stacy recalls the 6 months he spent in a British prison, comparing it to the jails he's seen in the US as an actor. Stacy talks about the psychological and physical battle of addiction, and explains that while he was in prison he tried to be as productive as possible. The guys also share their thoughts on Charlie Sheen (since Stacy was in several episodes of Two and a Half Men), and talk about how to organize an intervention. In the final segment of the show, Adam recalls his transition from the construction site to meeting Jimmy. He discusses a conversation he had with a writer on Seinfeld, and soberly recalls how he thought she was so lucky at the time, but fate had a different plan for her. Adam ends the show with advice to us all on how to best live life.
