Think N Now you're gonna have to tell me how to pronounce this word because I don't know this word. Ayahuasca. Ah, thank you. Without the drugs without the dogs or the dogma.
Yeah, without the drugs or the dogma, exactly.
Okay. You can see I am not very well versed in what we're talking about, so I'm excited to learn um from you this morning. His brand new program, Attention Academy, aims to take on the attention crisis. It's a structured, beginner friendly meditation program to rebuild students' attention, mental regulation, and calm, requiring just ten minutes a day. Across all programs, the underlying mission is the same to help people develop an inner practice that enhances mind, body, and spirit and allows deeper inquiry into the nature of existence and experience. Welcome will. Thank you very much. Thanks for having me. I am so excited to talk with you this morning because
How did Will Fraser become a meditation coach after a career in education?
I have not really dived into this area of work at all. And so I'm excited to learn from you. I'm excited to hear what you're doing specifically around attention and ten minutes a day being able to help people. So Tell me a little bit about how you got into this work. What interested you What was the beginning?
So as as I've all as you mentioned in my introduction, I was um a teacher in the British secondary school system for fifteen years. Um and, you know, started off as a regular classroom teacher teaching history and worked my way up to senior leadership. So I was the assistant principal um when I sort of uh kind of finished last year. But in the first school I worked at, the principal um asked me to lead an after school meditation and mindfulness club. Um and I have no idea or I had no idea at the time about what meditation or mindfulness was. Um but I suspect it's because I have ADHD, I'm quite a hyperactive person, I find it very difficult to sit still. I think the principal thought it would be good for me to do something calm, quiet and reflective
that would help me but also help the students as well. So he he got me to do this class and I said to him that I don't know I don't even know what meditation is and I can't sit still. So I've no idea why you're asking me to do this. But he said it's easy. He gave me a book of uh scripts to read. He just said make the kids sit quietly, you know, just get them comfortable, get them to shut their eyes, and then read the script to them and it will tell them what to do.
