Hey there, folks. It is Tuesday, February 10th, and lock them up. Who? The NFL, NBC, and Bad Bunny. And you know who wants them in jail? U.S. congressmen. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. Rose, this is actually happening. A U.S. congressman has put out a statement saying that he wants to lock up the NFL, the NBC folks, and Bad Bunny over the halftime show.
This is actually, is this feigned outrage in a midterm election year? Or is this really something that we should have our lawmakers be focusing on to represent us and to make sure that American family values are solidly in place?
Yes. Some are going to argue that they are making a genuine effort here, that we have to protect kids from Bad Bunny and from the NFL and from the executives at NBC who are putting smut on television for them to see at halftime. Now, I try to leave room for someone saying genuinely that's how they feel about it, that that's honestly what they're doing.
But I'm fine with someone. We've had this conversation recently. Knock yourselves out. Say whatever you want about anything or anyone. This is America, right? But we are so quick to say, we're going to sue you. We're going to arrest you. Because if you do something or say something I don't like, I'm going to make sure you pay. This is what this feels like. But it also feels like rallying the base and taking an opportunity to... To use a situation for your own advantage and be dramatic as hell and act like you're saving the world when really you're just trying to get reelected.
So these two guys are trying to get re-elected, probably. So we're talking about two separate instances here in which congressmen are going after Bad Bunny's halftime performance. One of them is Representative Andy Ogles, Republican from Tennessee. The other is Representative Randy Fine. He's a Republican from Florida. Now, Ogles is the one who is asking for a formal congressional inquiry. into the super bowl halftime show now he did send a letter to committee that he wants to look into it we'll get into the letter in a second which has some pretty dramatic writing but robes his initial twitter or x post announcing that he wants to go after the guy
