What?
You probably won't believe it either.
Was this before he wrote his stories? It must have been. Okay, I don't think that's true.
I'm telling you. The guy was a spy.
Listen to The Secret World of Roald Dahl on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey there, folks. It is Monday, January 26th, and an arrest has been made tied to the death of a 14-year-old girl who was found in the trunk of singer David's car. But David is not the one under arrest. And the person under arrest isn't under arrest for murder.

Chapter 3: How is Neo Langston connected to Celeste Rivas Hernandez?
It David's friend now, who we know has appeared in videos and photos online and publicly with David over the years. His name is Neil Langston, 23-year-old social media streamer. He has been arrested. Authorities found him in Montana after he failed to appear as a witness before a grand jury. That is the charge he is facing. That is actually a felony. And he was extradited for
from Montana to Los Angeles. So a lot of dots are being, or connections are being made between the fact that David's good friend, who has been seen out with him multiple times, has now been taken into custody and handed over to California officials because he has refused to appear as a witness before a grand jury.
Now, most people are connecting the dots and saying there is a grand jury that is going on that's been going on since November. As prosecutors are trying to put together their case, most people believe that charges are coming at some point for Singer David, but it's been four months and there's been nothing. There's been no word. There's been no information coming from the LAPD, period.
Yeah, I guess they're getting their ducks in a row. And this we still don't have a lot of information on this. We just know this guy has been hauled in. I have a general idea of what it was, but still not getting a lot of specifics on what his connection necessarily is to any case having to do with David. Yes, so we know that this is what they have confirmed.
Helena Police out in Montana confirmed that they did assist detectives from the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division. So that's where a lot of people are saying, hey, that is the exact division that is handling the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case, the exact division that is investigating David as a suspect in her death. So those two things are very connected. Now, They did release a mugshot.
Did you get a chance to look at it? What did you think? So like a young kid, take a, yeah, I didn't think much of it to be honest with you.
A lot. It stood out to you for some reason.

Chapter 4: What details are known about Celeste Rivas Hernandez's case?
Yeah. He was smiling.
Yeah.
A lot of folks pointed out to just how bizarre it was that it was almost like he was posing for a selfie in his own mugshot. He was bizarrely smiling a big wide smile. How old is he? He's 23 years old. Yeah. David's 20. So they're around the same while they're in the same age bracket, but yes. So he was booked into the detention center in,
In Montana, held without bond there, then transferred to Los Angeles police custody. And he was booked into L.A. custody just around midnight this weekend, Friday into Saturday morning. And then by the next day, he was released. He posted bail, according to court officials. And that bond was set at $60,000. So not a small fee for him to get out of prison.
jail, at least awaiting the next hearing, facing that felony charge that he is now facing. Yeah, no word on when he's going to be in court again, so we don't know where this is going to go. Yeah, so this is... And look, people are desperate for answers.
We even did a podcast a couple weeks ago with the First of the Year, trying to just bring back this story to remember and to remind listeners that this is... I mean, this is about as...
explosive of a case, as you can imagine, for this burgeoning singer, this 20-year-old David, who was on a upwards trajectory, a meteoric rise, actually, going out on tour, going out on his first international tour when this young girl's body is found in his Tesla. And yet, to date, we still have heard nothing from him and nothing from his camp at all.
No, I guess that's what they tell you to do in a case like this, right? You're supposed to sit down, shut up, be quiet. And yeah, we haven't even gotten good word lately about where even he might be. So yeah, he has gone dark for literally months now. Yes. So his name, by the way, officially is David Anthony Burke.

Chapter 5: What role is D4vd playing in this investigation?
And even though, yes, we did get word officially in November from law enforcement that he is a suspect, obviously he has still not been charged. And you may remember his tour eventually was canceled, but he continued out on tour. Even when this body was found, it wasn't until the body was named. And I hate to even put it that way, but this young woman's name was revealed in
Celeste Rivas Hernandez, when her name was revealed, that was the day, that was the evening that he finally did cancel one of his concerts. And then it was a domino effect. He ended up canceling the next couple of shows and then ultimately his entire tour that was supposed to take him into Europe. And we have not heard from him since.
And while his camp initially said he was cooperating with police, by mid-fall, late fall, we heard from police that he was officially no longer cooperating. It seems remarkable given the circumstances of the case.
Which part is remarkable?
Just the fact that we've heard nothing from him. We've heard nothing from his camp. And look, I get that lawyers tell their clients don't speak. And yet still, when you're accused of something that's heinous, if there's so much going on online, I mean, this has gone bananas online because there's been such an emptiness. There's been such a vacuum of information. People are filling it in.
Oh, yes, that is what people do.
But at this point, I mean, he's never even said, my heart goes out to our family. Just the most basic of things. It's not an admission of guilt or innocence. It's just what a human being does. When a human being you know dies, you would say something. And so that, yes, but doesn't mean he's guilty of anything. It certainly doesn't.
But this latest twist now, knowing that, look, the idea that one of his good friends has now been arrested, has now been charged with a felony, and is now... I don't know what the next steps are. I mean, if you can compel someone to testify in front of the grand jury, you force them to show up.
Can you take the fifth when you're testifying in front of the grand jury if you know something that might somehow... make you guilty of some crime. I'm not sure what the rules are and how they can force this, this 23 year old to sit in front of a grand jury.

Chapter 6: Why has there been no formal charge against D4vd?
Uh, not exactly sure. Yes, this has happened plenty of times. They will put you in jail if you don't testify. So he has to see what that's worth to him. Yeah. And so that remains to be seen. And I'm sure, look, the entire country has been just spinning and certainly those folks in Montana, along with so many people in the country dealing with this weather. And so courts have been off.
We're actually following a number of trials right now that are on hold right now because of the weather. So we're going to follow this one. But when we come back, we're going to tell you about what authorities have said about this David investigation, that it does remain active. and that multiple people may have been involved in a part of the disposal of Ms. Hernandez's body.

When you look at your car, you're gonna become overwhelmed with such good feelings. Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you? I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused. NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. NLP, aka neuro-linguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics, and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind Games is the story of NLP, its crazy cast of disciples, and the fake doctor who invented it at a New Age commune and sold it to guys in suits.
He stood trial for murder and got acquitted. The biggest mind game of all? NLP might actually work.
This is wild. Listen to Mind Games on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Chapter 7: What implications does Neo Langston's arrest have for D4vd?
Hey there, this is Dr. Jesse Mills, director of the Men's Clinic at UCLA Health and host of the Mailroom podcast. Each January, guys everywhere make the same resolutions. Get stronger, work harder, fix what's broken. But what if the real work isn't physical at all?
To kick off the new year, I sat down with Dr. Steve Poulter, a psychologist with over 30 years experience helping men unpack shame, anxiety, and emotional pain they were never taught to name. In a powerful two-part conversation, we discuss why men aren't emotionally bulletproof, why shame hides in plain sight, and how real strength comes from listening to yourself and to others.
Guys who are toxic, they're immature, or they've got something they just haven't resolved. Once that gets resolved, then there comes empathy and compassion. If you want this to be the year you stop powering through pain and start understanding what's underneath, listen to The Mailroom on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your favorite shows.
This season on Dear Chelsea with me, Chelsea Handler, we've got some incredible guests like Kumail Nanjiani. Let's start with your cat. How is she? She is not with us anymore. If you feel something like that, you have that fire in you for this experience.
It's not for a guy. It's for the experience of being in love. And like, it's bigger than a guy. Elizabeth Olsen. I love swimming naked so much. And I know you love taking pictures of yourself naked. I love to be naked. I just want to be in my brown underwear all the time.
Ross Matthews. You know what kids always say to me? Are you a boy or a girl? Oh, my God.

All the time. That's so funny. I love it. So I'm always like, hi. I try to butch it up for kids, you know, so they're not confused. Yeah, but you're butching it up.
It's basically like Doris Day.
Right? No, I turn into Bea Arthur.

Welcome back, everyone, to this episode of Amy and TJ, where we are following a new development, there haven't been many, in singer David in the investigation into whether or not he played a role in that young 14-year-old girl's body that was found in the front trunk of his Tesla so many months ago. Her body was discovered on September 8th. It was a day after her 15th birthday.
She had been reported missing for a year and a half. And police have acknowledged that there was a relationship between the two, between Celeste and between David. They've acknowledged that he is a suspect, but they have shut this case out now pretty much to any public scrutiny in terms of any leaks. There have been none.
