Property investors often talk about using debt to build wealth. In the share market, that's called gearing. With the BetaShares WealthBuilder range, investors can access moderate gearing into shares, and with the newly launched GG-BL, That means exposure to a diversified portfolio of around 1,300 global companies excluding Australia, all with no loan applications, credit checks, or margin calls. Gearing magnifies both gains and losses, so it's only suitable for investors with a very high tolerance for risk. You can learn more about the WealthBuilder range of ETFs at the BetaShares website. And don't forget to read the PDS and TMD to decide if it's right for you. BetaShares Capital Limited is the issuer.

It is wonderful to be back, Owen, and talking about one of my very favorite topics, books.
Owen 1:52
Yes, books, personal finance and investing books. We've got a few to cover each. You've got four and I've got three. It's always a really popular thing on Instagram, isn't it? That when we share photos of books, they're our most engaged posts.
Kate 2:10
yeah absolutely we i shared one last month and it was amazing how many people were sharing it and saving it and liking it and all i can think of is that people still like books even though we've got so many ways that people can read and watch and consume things online there's something so tangible and different about a physical book and i think it's fantastic about the way it starts conversation we've seen the barefoot investor completely change the game in australia for having conversations about money and finance because it isn't as scary to read a copy of a book that's just lying on the coffee table, to borrow it from the library, to use that. Even people were gifting The Barefoot Investor for Christmas and birthday presents.
Kate 2:51
And some other books, like we've talked about the psychology of money a lot on the show. That's another one that's been a fantastic one that I've enjoyed gifting to friends and family for birthdays and Christmas, whether they like it or not. usually on top of something else, but it's just a fantastic one to start that conversation. I think there's something that a book can do that not every other medium can.

It's interesting because over the years, definitely my book consumption has gone down. It's maybe just the stage of my journey, but podcasts have definitely filled a bigger role in that. It's a totally different type of medium, I guess, the way we consume that information. But for me personally, Podcasts have definitely taken center stage over the last, say, three to five years. But we still have some great books to share with everyone today. And mine are more on the investing side of things. I think in the past I've been reluctant to share too many technical investing-type books with the Australian Finance Podcast just because they are more advanced. But I think we're going to get into some interesting books today in that respect.
Owen 3:58
We're also doing a giveaway, Kate, which is worth mentioning.
Kate 4:01
Yes, we'll share some more details at the end. But if you're a student in any of our free or paid courses, you'll be getting our RASC education student newsletter in the next few weeks.
