How can the Wealth Checker help you understand your financial standing?

Owen Rask 0:00
Property investors often talk about using debt to build wealth. In the share market, that's called gearing. With the BetaShares WealthBuilder range, investors can access moderate gearing into shares, and with the newly launched GG-BL, That means exposure to a diversified portfolio of around 1,300 global companies excluding Australia, all with no loan applications, credit checks, or margin calls. Gearing magnifies both gains and losses, so it's only suitable for investors with a very high tolerance for risk. You can learn more about the WealthBuilder range of ETFs at the BetaShares website. And don't forget to read the PDS and TMD to decide if it's right for you. BetaShares Capital Limited is the issuer.

It allows you to put in some quick and basic fields and then get a kind of feel for where you sit relative to everyone else. You can cut it up by gender or by age group, different assets. What they're doing with their money, where it's at, how much crypto do they have?
Owen Rask 2:07

Gemma Mitchell 3:16
I'm doing great. Excited to get into this one because I love a sticky beak into other people's finances. And I know our community does because anytime we've talked about comparing super balances or wealth before, people just love it. They go nuts for it. So this is going to be a fun episode.
Owen Rask 3:32
Yeah. There was people sharing when we did a previous episode that was on superannuation. Yeah. There were people sharing the tools and wanting to check out where they sat just with super. This is a whole other thing. And you came up with this episode idea, I'm going to say like two months ago now. And you were like, we should be trying to figure out how wealthy or rich people are.
Gemma Mitchell 3:55
Yes.
Owen Rask 3:56
And then trying to figure out if we can kind of match people and they can see where they sit on different curves. When you did this for yourself, were you surprised by anything that you found?
