Transcription

Chapter 1: What insights does Nathaniel Lowe share about his free agency experience?

0.031 - 2.794 Nathaniel Lowe

Yeah, there should be some passion. This doesn't have to be boring.

0

3.315 - 10.444 Bradfo

You don't get bored by baseball. Okay, one thing the game needs is more people like you. You. You. You. You. You. You. You.

0

11.906 - 13.568 Nathaniel Lowe

You. You.

0

13.708 - 14.369 Bradfo

You.

0

14.429 - 23.56 Nathaniel Lowe

You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You.

25.182 - 25.262

You.

25.242 - 40.388 Bradfo

There's no human being on the planet I'd rather be talking to more than Nilo, so thank you. So as you had an opening day, obviously the last couple opening days have been different. Oh yeah. Right? Life changes, right? Life changes.

Chapter 2: How did Nathaniel Lowe prepare for Spring Training with the Reds?

40.468 - 47.74 Bradfo

Absolutely. How do you feel different? You talk about the off-season and everything else, but how does, as you sit here right now, how does it feel different for you?

0

47.72 - 61.319 Nathaniel Lowe

Oh, it's exciting, you know, to be around a group again that's ready to compete and got a taste of the postseason last year. It's like it's a good landing spot, you know, for as difficult as the winter was. I'm very happy to be here, happy to have a chance to help this team win.

0

61.82 - 72.115 Bradfo

So tell me a little bit about the offseason. We always go into it. We're like, you never know how it's going to work, how you handle it, your mindset, probably like a roller coaster. Take me through it for you.

72.295 - 95.285 Nathaniel Lowe

Well, I think I was most happy to just get home to my wife and son. You know, like I I got to obviously go home for when he was born and missed a couple of games last year. But, you know, like to be home and be present for them was such a big piece. And as far as development goes off the field, which may not get enough attention, but it was nice to get back with them.

96.807 - 121.197 Nathaniel Lowe

Thankfully, Joe Hudson, who's the strength coach in Boston, hooked me up with a trainer. So I got to meet a new coach. A new guy to work with who's actually like his mother-in-law is my agent's sister. So go figure. So it felt super cool for him to say like, oh, you know, my wife's mom is her brother's an agent. And I was like, yeah, he's my agent. Yeah. So it was cool to like.

121.177 - 140.569 Nathaniel Lowe

Be where I was supposed to be, you know, like I obviously I see all the social media stuff about Trevor having the guys coming over to his place and him being right down the road. So we played some golf together. I got to go to his place and see what a what a good setup he's got there. And then, you know, it just kind of had to wait out the right opportunity. And then when the Reds called.

140.549 - 149.563 Nathaniel Lowe

I mean, it was two days before report of when I finally got that hammered out. So, better late than never. And here I am, hopefully ready to contribute.

Chapter 3: What personal changes has Nathaniel Lowe experienced recently?

149.603 - 158.757 Bradfo

But, I mean, you did so well, obviously, in your time with the Red Sox. And also, like you said, you had a great offseason. So, was there this element of, like, come on, let's go?

0

158.797 - 174.119 Nathaniel Lowe

Yeah, absolutely. But you've got to be patient with it. That's just the way things were shaping up this winter. Obviously, everyone's... On both sides, getting prepared for what's going to happen next winter or what could potentially not happen. So, you know, you just got to take it one day at a time.

0

175.1 - 177.063 Bradfo

And it's the last thing is so now you're here.

Chapter 4: How does Nathaniel Lowe feel about joining the Reds after a challenging offseason?

177.684 - 182.37 Bradfo

Yeah. And spring training was probably different because, you know, you had to you had to ball out spring training.

0

182.47 - 200.568 Nathaniel Lowe

I was kind of on the outside looking in. But I mean, there's so many Georgia guys here that I grew up with. There's so many guys that I've played against. I felt like every affiliate level in Tampa matched up with a Cincinnati affiliate. So, I mean, I've been facing Tony Santillan since, you know, since day one of low A. Yeah.

0

201.33 - 209.512 Nathaniel Lowe

And, you know, you play against so many of these guys from across the lines, like it's hard not to get along with them as soon as I get in this clubhouse. Well, congratulations. Awesome, man.

Chapter 5: What role did family play in Nathaniel Lowe's offseason development?

209.532 - 209.993 Nathaniel Lowe

Thank you.
