Indeed, he is a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Antonio. Furthermore, he has built something truly impressive. Specifically, he grew from a solo practice to a multi-provider aesthetic business. Moreover, he achieved this growth in just a short amount of time. Currently, his multi-provider aesthetic business includes the following elements: First, a facial plastic surgeon joined the team. Second, an internal medicine physician came on board. Third, the clinic offers injectors, lasers and wellness services. Fourth, the practice employs 16 team members and keeps growing. However, what stood out the most was his mindset. Ultimately, Dr. Micallef credits much of his success to his military background. Fundamentally, systems, consistency, accountability and leadership are not optional. Frankly, that discipline clearly shows in his work. Thus, in this "Beauty and the Biz" episode, we discuss the following topics: First, we explore how he scaled quickly without chaos. Next, we uncover why patient experience is his true differentiator instead of price. Then, we review the hiring mistakes he wishes he avoided early on.
