News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Doug Krisner. SpaceX called off Sunday's planned launch of its Starship rocket less than 30 minutes before takeoff. The company cited an unspecified ground systems issue. Now, the test flight would have been the 10th for Starship after a string of failures this year, including explosions and satellite deployment mishaps.
By the way, no new launch time has been announced. The Trump administration is escalating its military deployment in Washington. A Defense Department official tells the Associated Press some National Guard units are now patrolling the Capitol with firearms, including handguns and rifles. Now, the shift follows a directive issued last week by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Meantime, President Trump is threatening to send federal troops into Baltimore after a spat with Maryland Governor Wes Moore. In a post Sunday on Truth Social, Trump accused Moore of having a poor record on crime, and the president warned he may quickly clean up the city, as he did in Washington. We got reaction from Governor Moore, who was speaking earlier to CBS Face the Nation.
You know, as someone who actually deployed overseas and served my country in combat, to ask these men and women to do a job that they're not trained for is just deeply disrespectful. There is a multitude of reasons that I am against this, and I will not authorize the Maryland National Guard to be utilized for this.

Now, Trump has signaled that Chicago and New York are next on his list. Democrats, meantime, are fiercely opposed, and they call these moves an abuse of federal power. Vice President J.D.

NVIDIA being the largest contributor from a market cap and from an earnings perspective to the S&P 500, and that being the conversation that is being discussed now about, you know, has AI pulled back, which has been driving the market.
According to data compiled by Bloomberg, nearly 90% of analysts covering NVIDIA give its shares a buy-equivalent rating. In New York, Charlie Pellett, Bloomberg Radio.
