But there are still small details with big impacts that need to be worked out. Like where there may be a change to sleet or freezing rain. The Trump administration has broadly targeted temporary and probationary workers as part of its efforts to shrink the federal workforce. FEMA said in a statement that it was following standard protocol and that news of the staffing cuts being rescinded was manufactured drama. In Washington, Amy Morris, Bloomberg Radio.
President Trump's now threatening Canada with 100% tariffs against all of its exports to the U.S. if it makes a trade deal with China. Trump claims on social media China will eat Canada alive if a deal is made. The move comes as Trump and Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney launched a war of words over the president's takeover plans of Greenland. He's also trolled Canada about his desire for it to become the 51st U.S. state. But it's still unclear what change would mean for how U.S. tariffs apply to any goods traded under the United States-Mexico-Canada agreement. Right now, goods under that trade deal are tariff-free. President Trump has dispatched naval assets to the Middle East, prompting speculation that he'll follow through on threats to attack Iran's leadership amid a violent crackdown on protests there.
