So yeah, up and down the lineup did exactly what they were supposed to do. You know, Vladdy was doing his thing today, a couple of walks with three hits.
Uh the VAR show two out the RBI was huge. Like they were just doing it, Jeff, like they were getting hits when they when they needed to get hits. And sort of the story for me was Varland. You know, it's kinda what is that theory? If you got 'em, use 'em. You know, he's got five different pitches. We've we've the last couple of times seen all five of 'em. That's the adjustment, I think, right? It's no longer just the four-seam knuckle curve. If you got all those other pitches, you might as well use them. The good changeup tonight was sort of a weapon too, right? I mean, it is a very, very hard changeup, but you add that in the mix, tunneling that off uh off off the knuckle curve. Curve adding the sinker and the slider and the four seamer.
I mean you could just tell on the mound he's gained a little confidence. If he gets confidence to control all five pitches, that'll be huge for that bullpen I'd think.

So Pete's just trying to get 'em off of that so when he does have to throw the fastball he can elevate it, maybe can get a swing and miss like that. That's a big story. I mean they need somebody to sort of that John can lean on in big moments. Maybe it's Louie. Maybe look Louie's getting gained a little vinegar on the mound, which is kind of cool to watch.
