We're gonna talk to Joe Sittle, we're gonna talk to Doug Fox about some Blue Jays prospects. Zach Wheeler will not pitch in this series any longer. He is going to be placed on the paternity list because him and his wife are expecting any day now. So that will move Christopher Sanchez and Mick Abel up. Up a day, it will also mean Jesus Lazardo, who gave up four hundred and seventeen runs on Saturday, it felt like, uh, will pitch on Thursday, which for the purposes of figuring out the lineup configurations mean the Blue Jays will see two lefties this series and two lefties this week. The twins, of course, are all righties. Uh so it doesn't change much for the weekend. But how the Roden Classe, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement of it all shakes out might be a little different.

All right. Uh Joe, speaking of kicking it off, uh right, the Blue Jays offense been humming a little bit here. Um, obviously against the athletics, that that was one thing. The the bats are really there. But when you see the snapshot for the month of May and Chris Black sends out the top sheet and and here are the numbers for May and the team's rankings, given that we were not far removed from that week against Tampa and Texas where they couldn't score at all, did that surprise you at all? Just how well the Blue Jays offense graded out overall for the month of May?
Yeah, I think so. It was uh much improved from April, which it had to be. And we talked a lot throughout the course of April of of how they had to get better. And you know, it it's still that up and down, right? You face a pretty good pitching, it's going to be tough and you beat up on some pitching like the athletics, which is what you want to do and what you had to do. I don't think I expected them to score the runs that they did score. But I think it's going to play out over time. I I'm still not sure where this lineup is. I don't want to get too, too excited after what happened on the weekend. But as you stated, the month of May in general is pretty good. Like any team, I think, and I'm guilty of it.
I'll raise my hand and say I get caught up sometimes when I see a good pitcher shut them down on a given night. When I see good velocity shut this lineup down over the course. Of two or three days. So you you have to take those as snapshots because I think when we've dug in a little deeper, too, they they've faced a pretty good pitching. They've faced lots of velocity. So that was maybe a bit of a reprieve on the weekend to get away from that. But uh we saw in Texas, you know, it's pretty good pitching, and it was tough to score runs. And we won't talk about Tampa anymore. We're just going to pretend that didn't even happen.
