We always get what we uh what we sew, don't we? Okay, the Blue Jays are back. Three game series starting to see the Giants tonight at Roger Center, it's City Connect Friday.

Yeah, I'm pumped. It's uh obviously the Blue Jays had so much momentum toward the uh all star break there, d kinda limped into it a little bit, but yeah, I'm looking forward to getting back to having actual games to talk about, but seeing if the Blue Jays can rediscover that uh that stroke that they were on. And it's going to be, you know, the Giants are Not as good as they would like. They're probably the streakiest team in baseball among good teams. Uh, but you get to test yourself against a legend and Justin Verlander. You'll probably see Robbie Ray and Logan Webb in some order. The Giants have an announcer Saturday and Sunday starters, but those two should both be available. So this is a very tough series of pitching matchups.
It's uh it's a good way to test yourself coming out and I think it'll be really interesting with the Jays having the Giants, the Yankees, the Tigers, and then even after that, four and three days against the Orioles, because the Orioles are bad by record, but have been a little over five hundred since that bad start and obviously have a lot of decent individual talent. So um, you know, this is gonna be a really good two week test, two week plus test for the Blue Jays between the all-star break and the trade deadline. And Yeah, I think there is uh you know, maybe not urgency because you've done a good job of getting yourself ahead in the division and certainly clearing ground from the wildcard race where the risk of you falling out of the playoffs entirely is you'd you'd have to do some damage.
Pretty minimal, yeah. But if you're talking about, you know, what the goal is, if you're talking about winning the division, avoiding the wildcard series and things like that, um, you kinda have to keep it up because the ALE's looks too strong right now for you to make up the ground a second time. You can't fight from underneath multiple times in the same round.
Yeah. Especially because it's not just the Blue Jays and the Yankees or or the Blue Jays, the Yankees and the Rays, even now you also do have the Red Sox to kind of worry about here. And like you mentioned, Blue Jays haven't seen the Orioles in a while and the Orioles are a different team from the one that got off to that awful start. Yeah, still not good. Yeah, still not
good, but not like as bad as like there are they should be mild sellers at the trade deadline. Yeah. But they're not like, oh, this whole thing is off the rails, we'll never be good again.
Right on. They would need a miracle to make the playoffs this season for sure. Seven and a half back with lots of teams to jump. Yeah. I don't think that that's necessarily a concern for the Blue Jays, but with head to head matchups and things along those lines, you better believe that to That that this schedule is not going to be as easy as or that that matchup is not going to be as easy as maybe you could have anticipated earlier on in the season. So this is a packed show.
