Democratic Senator Ron Wyden released an investigation exclusively to Bloomberg News. We can throw this first tear sheet up on the screen. He's obviously been investigating Epstein's finances for a very long time. The Bloomberg headline here is Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Bank of America enabled Epstein, Wyden report says. Now, of course, we basically already knew this, but it's a report from investigative reporter Jason Leopold over at Bloomberg, who says that Deutsche Bank failed to promptly report to U.S. authorities more than 2%. $250 million in suspicious transactions tied to Jeffrey Epstein, including funds used to pay women in Russia and other Eastern European countries, according to a new report from Ron Wyden.
That report itself is really long and really dense. In fact, this is the last element. We can toss this up on the screen. This is going to be D3. Wyden, after giving this to Jason Leopold, released this full, nearly 100-page report going through exactly what they discovered. And Wyden's team writes, the investigation revealed how major compliance failures at several Wall Street banks enabled Epstein for years by failing to report or choosing not to report his suspicious financial transactions to federal law enforcement. These banks allowed Epstein to send cash payments and wire transfers to his victims, friends, and collaborators around the world.
